Chhindwara: A tragic incident occurred in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, where an under-construction well in Khunajhir Khurd village collapsed. The collapse led to the deaths of three individuals—Shahjadi Khan (50), her son Rashid (18), and her nephew Bashid (18). The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon when they were working at the site, and they were trapped under the debris.
Rescue operations were initiated by teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and local authorities. Despite their efforts, the trapped individuals could not be saved.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed condolences and announced a compensation of ₹4 lakh for the families of each victim.
This unfortunate event highlights the importance of ensuring strict safety measures at construction sites to prevent such incidents in the future.
