Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his Bandra, Mumbai residence during the early hours of January 16, 2025. The assailant, now identified by Mumbai Police, is believed to have connections with Khan’s domestic staff. Investigations suggest that the attacker may have been granted access to the residence by a house help, who is currently under interrogation.
During the incident, Khan sustained multiple stab wounds, including a significant injury near his spine. He was promptly transported to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is now reported to be out of danger. His wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children, Taimur and Jeh, were present in the house at the time but remained unharmed.
The Mumbai Police have intensified their investigation, forming seven teams to apprehend the suspect. They are also scrutinizing the role of the domestic help, considering the possibility of collusion.
